4Why are adoption fees more than the shelter?
Rescues do not receive funding from cities or counties as shelters do. As we are not subsidized by those sources of income, we have to charge more for a dog in order to get them vetted. We don’t have a vet on staff as many shelters do and usually have to pay a full-service vet for spay/neuter and any other medical needs a dog may have.
